Linda Conroy. Founder and coordinator of the Midwest Women’s Herbal Conference will be offering this incredible weekend intensive class here in the western suburbs of Chicago. This is a great opportunity to reconnect with the Wise Woman Tradition, learn from one of the best and to bring all this knowledge back home to your family and friends.

Classes will start at 10 am to 5 pm Sat and Sunday. You can sign up for the whole weekend or for one day.

After the class on Saturday night we will offer the screening of the movie “Juliette of the Herbs” for free. So stay and enjoy it with us.
Day1. Saturday, Feb 20th
Wild Health the Wise Woman Way: Digestion, Fermentation and Wild Food
In this day long program you will be introduced to the wise woman tradition of healing. By focusing on building health, we can transform our lives and connect with our wild nature. Digestion is the center of our immune system and in this program we will learn about herbs and whole as well as wild food that promote digestive health. Expanding our understanding we will learning about the benefit of eating something wild everyday and creative ways to incorporate them into daily life. We will end the day by making an herbal condiment that participants can take home. A wild and while food lunch with herbal infusions will be included.
Day 2 Sunday, Feb 21st
Herbal Medicine through The Seasons: Seasonal Focus, Herbal First Aid, Hands on Medicine Making for Your Family Herb Kit
We will begin the day with an overview of herbal medicine. This will be followed up with a PowerPoint presentation: a virtual herb walk that will take us through all 4 seasons. Learning which plants to harvest, when is the ideal time and what part of the plant. Once we have this foundation we will learn approaches to herbal first aid. Linda will bring her first aid kit and review with you what she carries and why. We will end the day making a few herbal medicines that participants can add to their family first aid kit. A wild and whole food lunch with herbal infusions will be included.
